About Wannabee

And Why You Can Put Your Trust In Me...

I'm a small business, in an extremely competitive industry, located in the fabulous Crown Point area of Hamilton, Ontario. I'm a bee lover, in fact, I love most insects and the way they interact in Nature.  Many of my products contain either Bee Pollen, Beeswax, Bee Propolis and/or Honey.  (Humans gifts from the honeybees).

My journey started in Toronto, many moons ago, making beeswax candles and canning the fruits and veggies from my gardens.  I started dappling with my ingredients and made a wonderful variety of balms for both personal use and to gift.  It's been a labour of love and I've been creating and perfecting my craft for over 30 years since.

On January 15th, 2024, Wannabee turned 8!!! I've been so blessed to meet so many incredible people these last few years.  Clients have become friends; friends who have helped spread the word about my little endeavor, and as such, my little business continues to grow.  I truly am grateful.  This past year Wannabee won 13 awards from Silver to Platinum in Hamilton's Community Votes, and received the Platinum Award for Best Aromatherapy through the Hamilton Spectator's Readers Choice Awards, and my heart swelled so big, I thought it would burst.  It's been a whirlwind 8 years, as my business continues to grow at a far more rapid pace.  Thank you to you all :)

All of my beauty and household products are handcrafted in small batches, which allows me to stay true to my long held belief that quality is something that cannot be compromised.

I only use high end, ethically sourced ingredients, and endeavor to utilize only natural, fair trade and organic ingredients, as opposed to chemically laden ingredients found in most commercial products. My products are ALWAYS SLS/SLES/Paraben/Palm/Phenoxyethanol/Petroleum and Petroleum by-product free.  Safe for our bodies, in our homes and to our waterways.

In 2020 I thoughtfully switched most of my packaging away from plastic.  I try utilizing glass, tin, stainless steel, organic cotton and 100% post consumer recycled paper.  I assure you that the remaining plastics are PET (Polyethylene terephthalate (a polyester family member)) & always BPA free, and my goal is to eliminate plastic packaging completely, as soon as my current inventory is depleted.

The decline of our bee and other pollinator populations, is a frightening consequence of the massive amount of chemical and pesticide usage around the world.  Opting to use more natural or organic packaging and products ensures the bees still have a job to do, and encourages the chemical  companies to be more forward thinking when their profits are reduced.

Thank you for visiting. I am here to assist in any way I can.  Please don't hesitate to email me at wannabeeproducts@gmail.com , should you have questions or concerns.
