Each kit comes with 40 sticks and 
2 x 5 ml phthalate free oils.  Here's a  detailed breakdown:
One stick at a time:
If you're making one stick, apply the 20 drops of essential oil (or a blend of up to three oils) or 10 drops of fragrance,  directly to the stick. 
Small batches:
For a small batch of sticks, you can measure the oil using a graduated cylinder or dropper, then distribute the drops evenly across the sticks. 
Soaking method:
Another method is to place the sticks in a dish and pour a measured amount of oil (around 4ml for 5 sticks, or 20 drops per stick) over them, allowing them to absorb the fragrance. 
Drying:
After applying the oil, let the sticks dry for about 24-48 hours in a glass jar or upright in a mug before burning.
Even distribution:
When applying the oil, try to spread the drops along the stick rather than concentrating them in one area.
