Spring Cleaning

🌻Green Cleaning🌻

Spring is in the air. I can feel it, can you?

I wonder if you've ever considered the residual toxins left in and around your home from basic cleaning? Take a look under your kitchen and bathroom counters and grab ANY commercially manufactured bottle of cleaner. Next, get your glasses on, or grab a magnifying glass and read the fine print. Yikes!! 😪

Detergents, abrasives, degreasers, acid cleaners, organic solvents, and other cleaning agents make up the bulk of the clutter under our sinks, and not only are we handling them, we're also dumping them down our drains, touching them with our hands, using them around our families and pets, and releasing their fumes into our air.

The majority are toxic and an abundance are carcinogenic.

ALKYL DIMETHYL ETHYLBENZYL AMMONIUM CHLORIDE (C12-14) is an ingredient in a very popular 'Bald guy' product. Say whaaat? 😮

Unfortunately, it's just one of many chemicals on the ingredient list of aforementioned bald guy product. Chemicals come cheap for these big companies, so they're added to their products in abundance, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. This allows these companies to hype up their products through higher advertising budgets, and also offer their products cheaply to the consumer. "Better Cleaning", "Stain Removing", "Grime Dissolving", and a little "Less Time Cleaning, More Time For Your Family" thrown in to tug on your heartstrings advertising. But at what cost in the long run? Our health suffers, our families health suffers, our pets health suffer and our shared Planets health suffers.

I could go on for hours about this topic, but I'll spare you. Please get in touch if you have questions about a particular chemical or product and it's health and environmental impact, and I'll happily provide you with information and insight.

All of that being said, my main purpose of this writing is to reintroduce you to a better, safer cleaning alternative, and offer you a basic, easy and effective recipe for a Multi-Purpose ORGANIC household cleaner.
